We are an international family of four living in a residential area just outside Copenhagen close to the sea and the forest. I am Danish, my wife is Belgian (Dutch speaking). We have two very nice children. A boy of 12 and a girl of 11. They both speak English, Danish and Dutch. They go to school close by. In their spare time they play piano and football. Both my wife and I have quite demanding jobs which require a great deal of travelling. That is why we are looking for a capable and reliable au pair to mind our two children and take care of the household when we are not there. We live in a house with a garden in a green residential area close to a big forest and a park and five minutes drive from the seaside. It takes 20 minutes to get to the city centre of Copenhagen by car or train. It is easy and common to get around by bicycle. Our children go to school two kilometres from our house. We often bring them in the morning, Our son mostly bicycle home and our au pair takes our daughter home in the afternoon. When they come home they eat and do their homework. In the late afternoon they often have outdoor activities like football.
The main task of our au pair is to be with our kids after school and take care of the household. That includes helping the kids with their homework, cleaning, washing and ironing. We would also expect you to cook dinner four times a week. Evenings and weekends would normally be free. You would have a room with wifi, television, laptop, separate bathroom and entrance. We also provide you with a bicycle, a card for local public transport and a basic mobile phone subscription. The pay will be according to Danish au pair regulations.
