Introduzione personale

Dear Host Family, Hi! I’m Jane, 22, from the Philippines. I recently graduated with a degree in Sociology and I’m now looking forward to doing something new and meaningful after university. I became interested in being an au pair because I like the idea of experiencing another country through everyday life rather than simply visiting as a tourist. I was actually in Australia just 3 months ago and I really enjoyed my time there. That trip made me even more curious about what it would be like to be in another country, get to know the culture, and experience the ordinary parts of life that you don’t really get to see on a short visit. I haven’t been an au pair before so I’m not going to pretend that I already know everything. What I can offer is that I’m responsible, willing to learn and comfortable adjusting to new situations. I think I would fit well with a family who wants their au pair to feel like a normal part of the household while still respecting each other’s space and routines. I’d enjoy spending time with the children, helping with their everyday activities, and being someone they can feel comfortable around. At the same time, I’d love to learn from the family I stay with and share a little bit of my own Filipino culture with them. I’m hoping to meet people I genuinely connect with, experience a different way of life and come home with memories and relationships that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
