Introduzione personale

I want to become an au pair because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and being involved in their everyday lives. I love helping them learn new things, playing games, doing creative activities and watching their personalities grow. I would love to be more than just a babysitter — I want to be someone the children feel comfortable with and can look up to, almost like a big sister. I also see being an au pair as an amazing opportunity to experience life outside South Africa. During my gap year, I want to discover a new culture, learn a new language, meet people from different backgrounds and become more independent and confident. I’m excited about sharing my own South African culture with my host family while also learning from theirs. For me, being an au pair is a combination of childcare, cultural exchange, travel and personal growth. I hope to create a genuine connection with my host family and make memories that I’ll carry with me long after my au pair year is over.
