Dear host families, My name is Marielle. I am 18 years old and live in Germany. I will graduate from high school next year. Before I start my bioinformatics studies, I would like to be an au pair for 6-12 months. I have experience caring for children aged 1 to 4. During my time as an au pair, I hope to experience a new culture and gain experience in a foreign country. Furthermore, I want to gain greater independence and improve my English skills. I also hope to develop close relationships with my host family during my time there. Since my early teens, I have regularly taken road trips with my father and sister. For example, we have traveled through Morocco, Georgia, and the UAE. In my free time, I love reading. I also enjoy sports activities such as cycling, swimming, and SUPing. In addition, I work a lot in the garden at home in the summer and grow my own vegetables. Family cohesion is very important to me personally, as I have a large, close-knit family. I consider myself very reliable and responsible. At the same time, a safe, dependable environment is important to me.
