Dear Host Family, My name is Peris Karuri, and I’m a 19-year-old (soon turning 20!) from the beautiful country of Kenya. I am so excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and be part of a new family while exploring a different culture and sharing my own. I come from a close-knit, loving family, and I’ve always had a strong connection with children. Whether helping to care for younger siblings, cousins, or volunteering in my community, I’ve developed a natural ability to bond with kids—nurturing them, helping with schoolwork, and creating fun, safe environments for them to grow. I am responsible, dependable, and full of positive energy. I’m eager to support your family not just as a helper, but as a caring, respectful member of your household. I'm also excited to bring a piece of Kenya with me—through music, food, stories, and language—while embracing your way of life and learning from you as well.
