Introduzione personale
My name is Ciel and I am a highschool student in Long Beach, California. I have one brother who lives in Los Angeles, and many pets have been in my home throughout my lifetime. I have a large family on my moms side with over 15 cousins. I have lived here in Long Beach all my life, and I am ready for a change of scenery and new life expereience. I crave to learn from new cultures and experiences--something being an Au Pair can provide for me.
Choosing me as an Au Pair would mean having a optimistic and patient perspective in your home. I would be a source of guidence for my kids, helping them shape their world views and express themselves in their most authentic, genuine way. I can remember the mindset in which a young kid follows, and I have always seemed to have a way with connecting with children. I find importance in encouraging their curosity, answering and explaining their questions so they never stop asking. I have a exceptional understnading of the patience needed to work with kids thanks to my 7+ years of volunteer work at a summer camp. It took quick learning and adaptability, but in the grit of things I have learned to level eye to eye with the kids and find solutions.
One fun fact about me is that I am a sponsored skateboarder. Skateboarding is an amazing sport that has taught me many things valuable in being an Au Pair. Skateboarding demands perseverance, creativity, and adaptability—qualities that come in handy when caring for children and navigating the dynamics of a family. The discipline required in skateboarding has taught me to set goals and stay committed. Just as I practice tirelessly to master a new trick, I apply the same dedication when helping children learn new skills or face challenges. This experience has also enhanced my ability to think on my feet and adapt quickly to changing situations, whether it’s resolving a disagreement between siblings or coming up with a fun, impromptu activity. Moreover, being part of the skateboarding community has fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. I’ve learned how to support and encourage others, which translates perfectly into nurturing and building relationships with the children I care for. Through skateboarding, I've gained a positive outlook on failure and success alike, teaching me to celebrate small victories and learn from setbacks—an invaluable lesson I share with the kids I look after. Overall, my passion for skateboarding enriches my life and the lives of those around me, allowing me to be a more engaging and supportive Au Pair. (And if you wish, I would gladly teach your kids how to skateboard if they show intrest!)
