Introduzione personale

Dear Family My name is Maria de los Angeles, I am 22 years old, I am a professional chemical sample analyst from Colombia, I would like to share with you the most important things of my life so that you know me better. I am a very charismatic, creative, responsible, generous, hardworking and committed person. I consider myself someone independent, patient and passionate about my work with children. I love doing crafts, sharing time with my family and friends, I find myself preparing in the best way for this great experience of being an AU pair. Currently I live in Palmira, Colombia, where I was born and grew up, this beautiful city is the capital Agricola of Colombia, one of our representative festivals is the national holiday of agriculture, has beautiful places to visit and share family time. I live with my mother, my maternal grandparents, my younger sister and my uncle with syndrome down, my older sister left our house to live with her partner is currently pregnant and although she left still comes to visit us and is always watching us, we have 4 dogs were 5 but last year our 14-year-old Chiqui dog died. We are a close-knit family, on every special date like birthdays and Christmas we get together to share and create memories that we always treasure, we do many activities like board games, movie afternoons, listening to music and many more fun activities. In 2019 I graduated from college with honors in the same year I was appointed as a chemical sample analyst at SENA, In 2020 because of the pandemic we could not see face-to-face classes take a virtual course balloon decoration since we could not meet to share with our families did not want that those dates were not celebrated so choose to do this course so that among us we celebrated, I am currently doing a virtual English course to strengthen my knowledge, also through my preparation to be an AU pair I am taking psychological and pedagogical workshops that allow me to strengthen and learn new knowledge. In my spare time, I actually enjoy the simple things in life. I really enjoy watching videos, being with my family and friends, I love painting and reading, listening to music as well as visiting places. I also like to make recipes that I have learned. I also like to do hairstyles mostly with braids either to myself, my sisters or my mom and grandma. In terms of childcare experience, I have served children in formal and informal settings. In 2022 I had the opportunity to work caring for the two children of my cousin, Salome who at that time was 5 years old and David who was a year and a half, when I started working with them the child did not know how to speak so I decided to teach him some things little by little he was learning and by the end of my first year of work with them I already had an extensive vocabulary, the girl started the preschool so that I would take care of her when she went out, I would help her do homework, I would also teach her basic things used in the daily life such as tying her shoes, learning to cut with scissors always with supervision, simple things that will serve you. Currently I have been taking care of them for 2 years and I liked living this experience. I am particularly interested in experiencing family life in another country, as it offers a cultural context undoubtedly different from my own. For this reason, I would very much like to find a nice family to live, work and study since it is a really good opportunity to perfect my English, fulfill my dreams. I would also like to take some time away from everyday life to have a different life experience, since all the time I was studying and working at the same time, so I need a new beginning and a different routine with thousands of new experiences doing what I love most. I like it, which is working with children and at the same time enriching me as a person. My first language is, of course, Spanish and I am currently doing a virtual English course I see classes recorded every day at night since in the day I am working, I practice what I learned with a friend who has knowledge in the language and that helps me a lot, I also watch films in English without subtitles or listen to music in English that also helps me a lot, I would very much like to perfect it and expand my vocabulary in this second language since it is a personal goal to be bilingual. As for expectations, I am looking for accommodation with a host family that is as delighted as I am to share, live together and create special moments.
