Introduzione personale

Dear sweet future host family, I am a 21-year-old girl from Italy, and I'm looking for a lovely family in need of a big sister role. Well… I am not a big sister at home: I have an older brother whom I adore, but I've always dreamt of having a younger sibling to nurture, love, and care for. I recall a day when I was around ten years old, feeling particularly upset because my mother had definitively stated that she wasn't planning on having another child. Heartbroken, I took my little shi-tzu, Lulù, sat her down, and cried for probably an hour, attempting to convey to her the unfairness of the situation. In reality, it likely wasn't an hour, (even though it very much felt like it to me)… Within 20 minutes, I was running around the house, giggling and dancing, dreaming about my future self as a teacher. AND the first female US President. AND an actress. AND an astronaut. All at once. Oh, and the most famous fashion designer of all times, of course! I'm smiling as I write this, because I realize that I haven't changed at all. Not because I’m still that indecisive about my future, but because of the magic I still believe is held in life and our future. Thankfully, I’m now sure I don’t want to become a politician. I wouldn’t say never to the other careers, but what I’m confident in is that for now they’re not my calling. I am studying Economics and Management at university and am set to graduate in September. Initially, I planned to pursue a Master's Degree in Marketing in Rotterdam. However, my plans changed and I couldn't be more thankful. Now, my goal is to earn a certification and become a life coach. The moment this option crossed my mind, I was certain. Psychology and personal growth have been my passions for years. I've always enjoyed delving into my emotions, my self-understanding, and my comprehension of the world and others. I've always believed in people and the power of connections. This stems from who I was as a child: a forever dreaming, ambitious, and motivated kid. I consider myself fortunate. Partly, I believe I was born this way, but my true luck lies in having an amazing mother and grandmother. They never stifled my spirit but instead fed my ever-curious mind and soul perfectly dry wood to burn. This resulted in a burning fire within me, the source of my dreams, happiness, motivation, and positivity. Hence why I’m here now, writing this. I aspire to be the wood-feeder to the little children whose lives I’ll have the amazing opportunity to be a part of. And then, hopefully, I’ll also become the wood-feeder of many many other incredible souls when I become a life coach. To summarize, I am set to graduate with a degree in Economics in September 2024 and I am seeking a host family so I can experience diverse cultures while I take an online course to become a certified life coach. I believe becoming an au pair is a wonderful opportunity for personal growth. It allows me to directly experience two of the most educational and inspiring aspects of life: spending time with children and traveling. My dream would be to travel to Dubai and experience life there, since I’m considering moving there later on. Besides, I think amazing opportunities are hidden in every corner of the world, or at least that’s what I learned from traveling. I always stay open and trust whatever fate, or god, brings my way. I also work as a social media content creator and influencer, but don’t let this fool you because I am not traditional as such. I’m completely aware of the many pitfalls of living life through a screen, and how much it steals happiness and authenticity. That’s why I became very disciplined with my phone usage, so I can embrace all the positive opportunities that come with the digital revolution and share positivity and happiness with my audience, whilst avoiding the worst parts of it all. In this regard, I wholeheartedly support the decision to shield children from the online world during their formative years. Allowing them the space to cultivate their authentic selves without the intrusion of social media and technology. My commitment is to engage them in creative pursuits, games, sports, and books – fostering the exploration of their true passions away from screens. I’ll happily assume the responsibilities of caring for them, preparing them for school, organising their activities, playing together, providing transportation (I have a driver's license), and preparing nutritious meals. Cooking is a passion of mine, and I take joy in finding healthier versions of diverse dishes. I am very creative, and in my free time I love painting, making candles, and creating photos and videos. I also find peace in reading books, especially memorials and self-help books. I also do yoga and sometimes I go climbing and hiking with my friends. Nature is my element: I love flowers, the countryside, the sea, and having a good healthy picnic outdoors. I’m not one for nightlife and nightclubs, and I don’t drink or smoke. However, I thrive on social interactions, building meaningful connections with others. I look forward to the possibility of becoming a part of your family and contributing to the positive growth and development of your children.
