Introduzione personale

Dear future host family, Hi! I'm so incredibly excited to match with you and meet you (whoever you may be). My name is Mirella, which you probably already know, and I'm a girl from Sweden with a huge love for books, animals, and kids! I've been working with children since I was 12, so when I found out about au pair experiences it was quite clear to me that this was what I wanted to do. I adore kids, but I also love to travel, and working as an au pair would allow me the double-pleasure of exploring the world while working with children! What excites me about travel is primarily experiencing new cultures and learning new customs, developing my language skills and trying new foods and activities. Living with an au pair family would allow me to integrate into the American culture in a way I haven't been able to on my previous visits to the USA, which is a major reason why I feel excited about living with a host family! Finally; for me, family and caring for one another are the most vital things in life. Becoming an au pair would mean extending my family and developing new, loving relationships with new people, hopefully lasting a lifetime. Caring for children is a huge responsibility, not only physically, but also emotionally, as the children naturally form an attachment to you and you to them. Being a role model, and being someone they can trust to always be there for them, is my main motivation and purpose when caring for children, and I've learnt in my years of woking with kids that all that matters is really their happiness in the moment, one step at a time.
