Dear Au-Pair, We have decided to find an au pair because we need help looking after our children and housework, such as cleaning, washing clothes etc My name is Siv, and I am thirty-eight years old and I work as a Project Manager. My husband is Stig and he is thirty-seven years old. He works as an Investor Relationship Manager in a local bank. Both of our jobs are extremely hectic and time consuming. We have to travel a lot but seldom at the same time. I am currently on maternity leave, but I will start work again in August/Septemeber. I am also doing a master degree which means that I am studying every day and will attend sessions where you will be required to step in. We live in a house at Nordås in Bergen. We have three boys. Gustav will be 7 years after the summer and will then enter second grade. Kasper is 9 years old and is attending his third year at school. Both is nearby and within walking distance. We will consider if the boys can walk home by themselves, if not you will be required to pick them up or meet them when we are not able to ourselves. We also have a baby who will start kindergarten from August. You will be required to pick him up each day, unless we are able to. Both of them are happy and active boys and wake up early each morning with a smile on their faces. Kasper goes to soccer practice twice a week. Gustav is also attending soccer practice. When we are travelling you will be required to assist as much as you can. Gustav is 6 years old. He is a happy charming boy with a very strong will. He goes to sleep each nigh around 19:30 and wake
Our wish is that our Au-Pair shall help us in the afternoon and help prepare dinner until we come home around 16:30-17:00 hrs in the afternoon. In addition to this we require you to baby-sit some nights during the week and we need you to help us in our home for a few hours each week with light housework and some ironing. In our street, there are several families with Au Pairs. There are also a possibility for you to take language lessons in the city. As our children do not speak well English this is a requirement as we wish that you communicate well with the boys, and they with you. There is a bus just up from our street that takes you directly to the city center. You will have your own bedroom and share the family bathroom with the children. Stig and I have our own bathroom. We do have one dog and we will require you to take him for walks every morning We need an au pair to start with us as in april/may as our current au pair is going home. If you choose to be our AuPair you will be introduced to a crazy hectic everyday which might look like chaos from the outside. Plans change often and we require that you are positive to changes and unforeseen and unplanned days. That being said, we are a fun family looking for a kindhearted fun au pair to mix in with our family. If you are interested and would consider being our au pair please contact us.
