I am Italian and work as research fellow at the University of Luxembourg. I have been au pair myself when I was 19 and I am well aware how important it is to feel home, to be treated as equal and to have enough freedom to discover another country, meeting new people, getting to know a new culture. Since then I have been traveling and living abroad, enjoying every bit. In 2014 my life took a strong turn as I became a mother, Being full-time researcher and single mother is quite challenging and having someone else on board would make life easier. Also, I would like my son to experience something similar to having siblings, someone to play with, to relate to, other than his mom. In the house there are only my son and I and a very lovely and well mannered cat.
Mostly, the work will consist in taking care of my 2-years old son, for instance, taking him to the nursery, sometimes cooking for him, playing with him and sharing with him another culture and language than his (he is bilingual so far).
