Hi We are seeking a nice and trustworthy au pair to do daily chores, sometimes cooking and occasionally take care of our children. We are a family of four: Simon (43), Maria (38)‚ Signe (12) and Malthe (9). We are a nice family who like to do stuff together when we are not working/going to school. We own a nice house in Roskilde - a medium large city in close proximity (30 mins by train) to the capitol Copenhagen. We live about 100 meters from the water, 800 meters from the harbor and about 1000 meters from the central part of the city. Our children both go to school nearby. We usually drive them in the morning, and they find their own way home in the afternoon. Simon (my husband) and I both work in the weekdays, but usually not in the weekends. We have busy schedules, but are usually both home before dinner time. All 4 of us do the same sports, which is taekwondo. We do that twice a week, and we find it a nice and versatile sport. We are not fanatics - we mainly do it for the exercise :) I hope you will find all of us nice people, who like to do stuff together in our free time. And of course also with you, if you would like. Your room will be downstairs with your own bathroom... well... mostly your own :o) We of course use it sometimes too, but we mainly use the one upstairs where the kids rooms and our bedroom are. Your room is quite large and cozy. We think you would like it a lot. We have a bicycle that you can use to get around the city. We have had 2 au pairs until now. They were sisters. You will be responsible for house cleaning, washing of clothes, ironing, making beds, cleaning up after breakfast and dinner, helping with cooking, feeding our 3 cats if need be :) and in general keeping things looking nice. If you can cook, it would be great. Usually we do the cooking, but sometimes it would be nice if u could do that too. You must also sometimes look after the children. They mostly handle themselves though, but once in a while our youngest could use you to take care of him - if we for example both work late. And then it is important for us that you socialize with the kids. Especially our youngest son has a habit of getting a very good connection to our previous au pairs. Your job is monday to friday. In the weekends you are off, but occasionally we will need your help during a birthday or other parties, where friends and family come to visit. It is very important that we can trust you. You must tell us if you make a mistake of some sort and not keep it hidden from us. We believe in honesty first and foremost. It is also important that you take some pride in your work - both with chores and the children. We value that you take responsibility for your job and act proactively. Better ask one time too many instead of waiting for us to come tell you what or how to do something. You must be able to work mostly on your own accord as we (the parents) are at work in the day. You will get some freedom to do your job as you like, but of course we expect you to do a good job. :o) We prefer if you already have some au pair experience. Also you should be fairly fluent in english.
