Dear au pair, We are a warm, fun-loving, happy family of 4! Justin, my husband, and I like to think of ourselves as still (fairly) young! We have been together for 7 years and married for 1. We run a business together and life is busy but always full of laughter. Our son, Baxter, has just turned 2 years old and our daughter, Florabelle is 3 months old. Baxter is an absolute sweet heart. He is funny, sensitive, inquisitive and full of character, we adore him! Florabelle is a very easy baby who is always smiling! We have recently moved from London to a small, coastal town in Kent (1.5 hrs from London by train) called Margate. It is a increasingly popular choice of home for many young families from London. There are fantastic restaurants, cafes, bars and it is famous for the new Turner Contemporary Art Gallery and it's vintage shopping. There is lots of beautiful surrounding countryside and interesting places and towns to visit. We live a short stroll from the centre of town and from the beach. Our home is in an old hospital and is 3 bedrooms with a small garden. You would have your own bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. If you come to live with us we can offer you a free monthly trip to London to add to your cultural experience. We run nature based holiday camps for children called 'First Hand Experiences so work in London during the school holidays and from home during term time. It is our own business that we set up after both leaving full time teaching positions a few years ago. We are very busy and life is chaotic, hence needing some help, but we are very pas
Our priority is to find an au pair who LOVES children. We would spend all of our time with them if we could so you need to be the next best thing! We are an easy-going, fun loving, happy family and someone with this out look on life would fit into our family well. We value integrity and need to be able to trust our au pair. Honesty and mutual respect is very important to us. As is the ability to laugh, play, be creative and have fun! Your main duties would be to look after Baxter while Justin works and Louisa looks after her new baby. As the baby gets older and less dependent on Louisa you will look after her too so Louisa can work a few days a week. The children need to be played with creatively, taken to the beach, park and trips out, cared for, read to, cooked for, bathed and loved! Someone with experience with babies is preferable as we need you to be confident with plenty of energy. When not looking after the babies some light housework is required. We would love it if you could cook, we love to cook but don't always have time. We can give you weekends off as we like family time at weekends. There is so much to do here and London is so close you can make the most of this time. We both lived there for over 10 years so have lots of top tips! If we do require weekend or evening baby sitting we will always give you plenty of notice and give you time off in the week instead. Advantages to au pairing for us are plenty! We are good, kind people who would welcome you into our family. Justin is a teacher of English with over 10 years experience so can throw in some free English lessons too! London is so close, and Kent has so much to explore. To live by the sea is a real treat with great walking and sun-bathing in the summer (weather permitting!)
