Dear Au Pair, We are an active family of 2 working parents and 2 little healthy boys of 3 and 4 years old. We are Italian and Dutch and at home we speak three languages: Italian, Dutch and English. We are searching for an Au Pair to extend our family with a warm and caring person to assist us with the care of our kids and with some light housework. We offer you to genuinely become a part of our family, we are a thirty something couple, easy going and we would like you to feel at home with us. We live in a spacious house in Wassenaar, a small town close to the beach and just a few minutes away from big cities like The Hague or Leiden. Our youngest kid goes to the daycare 3 days a week and our eldest son goes to school. When the kids are at home they like to go the park, or play in the garden, or play inside, color, sing, etc.
We would like our au pair to care for the children, have a lot of fun with them and also be a loving caretaker. We want you to have a strong moral compass willing to ensure the safety of our children through good judgement. You should love to do activities with the children, play, sing, color go on adventures outside in the park/beach etc. We would like you to be neat and organized, supporting us in the light housework (ironing, vacuuming, laundry, dishwasher duty etc.) and comfortable to prepare healthy meals. Example of our daily routine and where you can help us: - Breakfast together and assisting in getting the kids ready for school. - Help with some housework chores when the kids are at school/kindergarden. - Take care of the kids at home on school/kindergarden free day's and after school or having activities with them e.g swimming, music, gym, friends birthdays, park, museum etc. - Pick up the kids from school/kindergarden and bring them to activities/play date or have a friend joining at our home. - Prepare dinner or take care of the children while mum or dad prepare dinner. - Having dinner together and help cleaning after the dinner. You can join us in the family activities, like outings and celebrations or choose to spend your free time as you like. Occasionally we would like to ask you to babysit the kids in the evening, when we are out for work or pleasure (1 or 2 times per week). You will have your own room with internet access and phone. The bathroom you will be able to share with guests only occasionally. Having a driving license is an advantage since you can help us taxi the kids to school and activities, but this is not a must as we have bikes readily available as well.
