* We are still looking for an au pair to start as soon as possible * We are a small but fun and happy family living beside a lake in Doncaster (check Google maps for "Fewston Way, Doncaster, UK"). I live with my partner James and my daughter Poppy and Charlie (Poppy's kitten), in a large 6 bedroom house close to school and fun places like cinema, bowling, food and sports. My partner and I both have good jobs which mean we are busy working a lot which is why we are looking for our next au pair. We have had 5 very successful previous au pair's who we can put you in touch with. We are looking for a female (18-30) who has experience of looking after young children, who is reliable, polite, pleasant, speaks good English and will enjoy being part of our lives for their period of work. At our home you will have your own room with kingsize bed and TV plus a full bathroom (shared with our daughter), access to great internet (wifi), healthy food and access to our gym. Poppy is very well behaved and energetic and she has her own playroom, bedroom and creative areas. We hope you will consider our family and we look forward to hearing from you.
The job is very easy to do but very important to us, from Monday to Friday this is the plan: 7.15am help Poppy get ready for school, make her breakfast, take her to school (20 minutes walk) 8.30am - 2.45pm Free time (when tasks are complete) 3.15pm Pick Poppy up from school, on some days make her tea and play 6.00pm - 7.15am Free time (unless babysitting or putting Poppy to bed) During the week there is some cleaning to do (Poppy's play area, your bedroom and bathroom, stairways) and we ask you to iron Poppy's clothes. During the week we may ask you to put Poppy to bed (8pm) and there will be some babysitting, but this is not every night. At weekends this is usually your free time but we may ask you to babysit, but we will let you know in advance. During the school holidays the work looking after Poppy will be all day but we give you a list of fun activities and places to visit to help you. If we go on holiday in the UK or if we go out at the weekend sometimes we will ask you if you would like to come with us. In these times we will pay for your food and entrance fees. There is no driving involved at all, everywhere is within easy walking distance of the house. The pay is £70 per week as where we live is much cheaper than London and you would only be looking after one child who is at school during the day. This is a particularly easy au pair role and our previous au pair's will tell you this if you were to contact them for a reference. We have a local airport which is 7km away called Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The nearest town is 5km from our house, the nearest shops (big supermarket, shopping centre with 20 shops, McDonalds, KFC) are just 10 minutes walk.
