Dear au pair, My name is Livia and live with my son Alberto who is turning one this April. I am easy going and pretty relaxed and I value honesty and open communication. Alberto is a very active child who loves to learn and explore the world and like any young children he will test your patience from time to time but overall he is a very lovely child.
Dear au pair, you will look after Alberto when I am at work from Monday to Friday ( either in the morning or in the afternoon) and you will give him love and attention and keep him safe. You must love childer, you must have previous experience ( I will request references) and you must speak good english to be able to communicate with british people but I expect you to speak in your native languge with Alberto. During the day you will need to feed him, make sure he sleeps and make sure he spend time playing and learning as well. I also expect you to feel confident and comfortable enought to go out, take him to the park or to the river for a walk at least two or three times a week. I also expect you to be proactive ( rather than me having to remind you everything and ask you questions such as did Alberto eat today? did he sleep? did he do anything nice or new today? did you clean his toys? etc...) and keep me updated on important things related to Alberto. As you will live in the house you are also expected to do some housework such as hoovering, taking the rubbish out, dusting and keeping your room tidy and if you eat with us help washing the dishes and laying the table etc.. You will have your own room but will need to share the bathroom with me. You can eat with us if you want or you can eat on your own whatever you prefer. You are free to manage your time as you like and you will have 3 free weekends a month and you may have to work on Saturday or Sunday once a month.
