We live in London and are looking for a friendly and responsible au pair to help look after our two children who are aged three and five. We have experience with two lovely au pairs - one who came for the summer last year and our second au pair who stayed for nine months and was a huge help to our family. ?It is very important to us that our new au pair has experience with young children. We live on the edge of the county of Essex so we enjoy all the city has to offer as well as the beauty of Epping Forest. I can put you in touch with Dounya our second au pair if you wish to discuss the experience with her.?There are lots of au pairs living in our neighbourhood so our last au pair had lots of friends from different countries. She also studied English at a college in London. About us I work part time as a national newspaper journalist and my husband is a photographer who runs his own picture agency. We have a daughter Yasmin who is five and a boy Isaac who is three. Both children are gaining independence. They enjoy painting, art, baking and going to the lovely park near by our home.?I speak French and Japanese and have been an au pair in Austria when I was 19 years old so I have a good idea of expectations. My husband and I have worked and travelled all over the world. We lived in the Middle East together and I have lived in Japan, France and Mexico.
I work part time and the kids are in school and nursery so we need the au pair to work after school sometimes and we would also like the au pair to babysit two to three times a week while the children are sleeping and to help with light housework and cooking.?We have a cleaner who comes to our house every fortnight so we would not expect the au pair to do heavy cleaning but help us with daily tasks to keep the place tidy.?
