We are a warm and close family of five people (me, my wife and our three children) living in north-west London. Our children consist of: Child 1: Intelligent, strong-headed 7 year old who is pretty independent and needs someone who can become her friend and big sister. Child 2: Loving and affectionate 4 year old boy who loves spiderman and football! Child 3: Stubborn but very cute 2 year old boy who loves stories and peppa pig We live in a big house that is about 20 minutes by train to central London, situated near shops, a park and a cinema. There is also a college nearby where you can study English should you wish to do so. My wife and I are both professionals - I work full time and my wife works 2.5 days per week. I would say we are hard working, honest and warm people that are trying to bring up kind, considerate children who know about the important things in life. We have had au pairs for the last three years and I would like to think they have all had a great experience. When you joins us, you will spend some time with our current au pair who will show you what is needed.
Generally we live a busy life where there is always something going on but essentially we try to ensure the kids are engaged as much as possible and we try not to use the television as much as possible :) We are looking for an au pair that is loving, kind, enthusiastic, creative, organised and tidy. You must have a genuine interest in children and not just be looking to improve your English or going out as much as possible. It is also important that you try to build good relations with the children (who are all very different) so that they learn to trust and respect you - in return you will have an amazing experience that you will always remember. We will need your help in the mornings to give the children breakfast and to drop two of the children to school. It will be essential that you can drive as both children go to different schools. You will then be needed to pick up the children from school and on certain days, take them to piano, swimming or grandmothers house. The time that you have with them should be spent engaging with them through play and laughter. We will need you to babysit in the evening once a week - the children will be asleep and so can relax at home. Weekends are yours but you are free to join us for yoga, museum visits etc. You will also share in the household chores which will include cleaning your and the children's bathrooms and doing the ironing. You will also need to tidy up after yourself and the children as you go as we like to live in a clean house. You will have your own double room with internet connection.
