Hello everybody! My name is Sara, I'm Italian and I'm the current au pair of this lovely Nigerian-English family. My contract ends on 18th December 2015 after 8 months with them and, after this great experience, I want to focus on my studies. So they asked me to find someone who can replace me before I leave. They need somebody who can join our family ('our' because I feel part of the family and I can assure you that they will make you feel the same!) on the 15th December for at least 6 months (but the contract is renewable!), so I can 'train' you before I leave and you can also meet the children and the parents as well. Of course these days of 'training' will be paid. The mum has travelled for study reasons, so for the most of the time you will be with the dad and the kids, but you will meet her at Christmas and once she's on holiday. This catholic family is composed of mum Chidimma, dad Nicholas and 3 lovely, very active children: Ifunanya Frances (7 year old), Chinecherem Angel (everybody call her Chy-Chy, 5 years old) and Prince Chimereze (3 years old). As I said, the children are very active, but they will give you all the love you need! They like going swimming, going to the park or at the cinema, they like very much eating at Mc Donald's or KFC (just once in the week) and explore. Ifunanya is in year 3, while Chy-Chy is in year 1. They go to school Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 3.15pm. Prince is in nursery and he goes to school Monday to Friday from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.,but from September 2016 he will star Reception full time like the girls. They are all in the sam
They are looking for somebody reliable, very responsible, hardworking, lovely person who is really interested in taking care of children and loves them very much. Somebody who has a driving licence because you will need to drop/pick the kids to/from school. If you want to attend any English course or any other type of course they will be very happy to help you. They don't just want a worker, but somebody who can join and get part of the family and become a big sister for their children. Let me tell you about your duties. Monday to Friday the day starts at 7 am and you will have to wake the girls up. Then: - assure that they brush their teeth - bath them - help them dressing up (just control they don't waste time) - prepare their breakfast (milk and cereals) and prepare Ifunanya's packed lunch (just snacks, not cooking). Most of the times the dad is at home, so you will just prepare their breakfast and the packed lunch, because he will do the most of the work and will bring them to school. Once the girls leave, you will concentrate on Prince. So you will have to: - help him brushing his teeth - bath him - give him breakfast - dress him - bring him to school for 12.30 pm (He's easy to manage, just on the TV, LoL) Then you are free to do little housework such as washing dishes, sweeping, doing the laundry or tidying up the children's room until you have to pick them from school at 3.15 pm. Once you come back home you have to give them snacks and fruit until dad comes back from college or work, then both of you will give them dinner and, at 7 pm, they will go to bed and you are free to do anything you want. On Saturdays sometimes dad will ask you to stay with them while he is at work, but he can tell you in advance. If he is at home you will be totally off, as well as Sundays. I can advice you, once you're off, to go and explore London because this will improve your English getting in touch with people and opening your mind very much. You will establish the pay with the dad once you arrive. Cooking proper meals is required just once or twice in the week, for the rest dad will cook for them. If you think you can help this family and have all the qualities do not hesitate to get in touch with me! With love Sara
