We are a family of 4 with two young boys, 4 years old and 14 months old. We have a house in a historic town about 40 mins south east of Perth in Western Australia. We've got ducks, chickens and a cat. The town is a small one with lots of beautiful bushwalks with opportunities for mountain biking and other outdoor activities for those who are interested in it. An au pair here would have to enjoy the outdoors - we live next to a national forest and there are lots of wild animals about (kangaroos in the backyard is always a draw to visitors!) and are in the hills with no public transport so driving license is a must. We are not a rich family but we have a comfortable middle class house and a 1/4 acre block. Our own interests are computer gaming, music (guitar), cooking, papercrafting! We are a creative family and a little on the hippy side. We love to be silly and have a laugh!
We are looking for a low work au pair who would be paid with board and food / bills / fuel covered rather than being paid in cash. The au pair would have their own room, TV and internet access, their own fridge and the room opens outside of the main house so they can come and go as they please with their own key. Dad works every weekday and mum is stay at home during days but works several evenings and the weekend and the help would really be wanted on 2 weeknights for 3 hours plus occasional other times. We are expecting a third child in March 2016 and so mainly we need help with keeping the house clean and help gardening, especially whilst mum is caring for the new baby and would love for our kids to become familiar with another language!
