Hello, We are a French family living in Reims (linkedin 238087240). In august 2015 we will have to work in Paris and therefore to move close to Paris. It will be a change of life for us and especially for our three boys (Alixan 12, Corentin 11 and Tanael 8). We think it’s the right period for them to have and English speaking nanny and we’d love to have an au pair from the end of august 2015 and for a 10 or 11 months period (more if we all wish to). We will live in Bures-sur-Yvette, which is a 10.000 inhabitants town situated south of Paris. The center of Paris is 40 mn on public transport. We will have a big house, very close to University, theater, music school and sport facilities. I personally went as an au pair for one summer to England (many years ago) and I keep tremendous memories of this experience. I believe it is our turn to offer this opportunity to a young girl willing to learn French and about French culture. I have to tell we’re very active people and we are looking for a very sportive girl (if not, you will not be able to follow the rhythm the boys will give to your life) !
Your job will be to learn French and become fluent. We'll be there to help you. A minimum of French knowledge would however be appreciated. Also, we wish to share our way of living with you. We are very curious of our surroundings, outgoing, doing outdoor sport, interested in travelling (we miss time to acomplish all we would like to do). The time you would spend alone with the 3 boys (8, 11 ans 12) is from 7.30 to 8.30 every morning of the week, and from 4.00 to 6.30 every afternoon of the week (I'm not sure about what is the right time they go to school as it would be a new school for them). You would also take care of them on Wednesday afternoon. I would like you to take them to their activities (no need to drive), help them with their school homework, cook a little bit and help us with the household. This shouldn't exceed 30 hours a week. On your time off you're welcome to take French lessons, go to Paris... and you could find lots of friends on the University nearby. The week-end will be off but you can share our activities if you wish to. I will be pleased to receive an answer from you if you’re interested in staying with us.
