Hi. We are looking for an AuPair to help us out from late July 2015 for just 2 or 3 months. We have had Aupair's for 4 years but a year or so ago life then got to a stage when all 3 kids were at full time school and we have been able to manage easily ourselves. However, I will be on crutches for 6 weeks from late July and really just need someone to come and do the daily running around that I will no longer be able to manage alone. I will not be returning to work for 4 months.We are a busy, active family. I am a flight attendant and my husband is a pilot. My husband is away a lot of the time. Our children are: Angus (12), Saskia (9), and Hugo (6). We also have a dog called Poppy. Life is busy with school, sports and other extra curricular activities. They are good kids and we all have a lot of laughs. Before going any further though it is important that you understand that Angus has High Functioning Autism. He is a great boy who is very clever academically and also very sporty however his social skills can be a bit lacking at times. He is getting so much better as he gets older and other kids don't even know that he has it. but he can be difficult at home if he is tired or anxious. We know how to manage all this and really now we don't really think too much about it. We need someone who has initiative - that is one of the most important things. Other qualities I look for is obviously kindness, independence, maturity, organisation, fun loving!
You would generally help me out from 7 - 9 in the morning then again from 3 - 7 in the afternoon. This would be helping to get the children to school and then school pick up and dinner. It would include helping out with meals, school lunches, laundry, tidying bedrooms, homework - just all the day to day chores of looking after 3 children. Plus one night of babysitting each week - which I probably will rarely use if on crutches!! You would have your own bedroom with double bed and you would share a bathroom with the children. You will have free access to our cars if we are not using them. We live in a big house with a swimming pool in a great area full of shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a public pool, golf course, tennis courts, train station, parks and lakes all within 5 minutes walk from our house. Cottesloe beach is about 5 minutes by car.
