We are truly looking forward to an exciting year ahead for all of us. We are the Jackie and Brian. We live in Garden City, New York. New York is located in the Northeast part of the US, and we are only a drive away from New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Garden City is a beautiful suburb of New York City. The town is picturesque with old, charming homes and a main street where all the shop owners and restaurant owners know you by name. The town has many amenities including a town pool, miniature golf and three private golf clubs. We have great shopping, restaurants and movie theaters, and we are only a forty minute ride into New York City by train (LIRR)! Even better, we live only a block away from the train station into the City. The town is very sports-oriented and family-oriented. The schools have a lot of teams and great facilities - fields, tracks, etc. that are open to use by the residents. Our town also has quite a few families with aupairs and the favorite place to meet up is Starbucks! So you will have a group of friends as soon as you arrive!
Our ideal au pair is very simple to describe. She is someone who will love and care for our children as if they were her own, and share in the joy and magic of watching two little ones grow! We want a responsible, dependable, active (especially swimming and into sports) and flexible person that enjoys children – a person that can see and experience, and appreciate the wonder of life through a child's eye. We want an honest person - someone who is open and communicative, and will never hesitate to come to us should she need help or have a question. We want to make the transition into our family as easy as possible for everyone.
