Hi, we are an Italian family of 4: it's me Barbara (44, HR manager), my husband Roberto (44, engineering and manager), and our 3 sons Lorenzo (9) and Federico (5). We live in a small village of the North of Italy (25 Kilometers far from Milan), in a big house (two floors) with a lot of space and suitable accommodation for an au-pair (personal bedroom + kitchen + bath). It is a very nice place at the same distance from the city of Milan and the lakes (Lecco and Como), and the au pair could travel in the Lombardia region, study languages, study and taste wines and foods ecc. Both Roberto and I work all day long and normally the kids are at school till 4 pm Kids are quite nice, they study English at school and they spent a lot of time playing videogames and they like swimming. We are looking for an au pair not only to let our kids learn English but even to let them be open minded and curious to other habits, therefor the most important duty we ask you is to be willing to spend worthwhile time with the kids letting them know yourself and motivating them learning English both while talking, playing, walking around or helping them during their personal care We prefer an au pair with a high level of English and be able to teach English to children (everyone for their age of course), if possible, with some activity. It should be a plus (not strictly necessary) if the au pair can speak a little bit of Italian.
For every day life we need a help with our children (may need to cook fast meals for the kids, clean and order children's rooms, ecc.); we already have an housekeeper 1 day a week, but some light home duties on the daily basis are needed. During the school period (until mid of June and in September): we are talking about 1 hour in the morning and 5 in the even after the school time In July and August there's school holiday in Italy so the au-pair will have to help me out with the kids in the afternoons doing activities with them: taking them to the park, to the swimming pool, just playing and having fun! In August we'll go to the seaside (in Liguria) so the au-pair will come with us and stay in our holiday home in Liguria (near San Remo – French River) We are ready to provide you with a warm welcome. We will make a point at respecting your privacy and make your stay with us very pleasant
