We are a family of four, who live 30 minutes north of Copenhagen. Brian is an English teacher and 43 years old, Susan is 42 and is a Sales Director. Silke is 17 years old and Daniel is 10 years old. We live in a villa with a garden and have a dog, a cat, a rabbit, fish, birds and chinchillas. We like to travel and play games. We like spending time together as a family and would love for you to join is when we go out for dinner etc. We do need someone with experience as an au pair - perhaps you are in Norway now or in Belgium/Nederlands and has not been to Denmark, but is qualified to be here for two years (preferably).
We need you to be in Europe/Norway already and be able to come to Denmark for a two year period (ideally). Daniel attends school 20 minutes away by bus and you need to pick him up when Brian has late classes and look after him until we come home. Besides this we need you to look after the house, incl. laundry and help out in the morning getting everyone out the door. We would like it if you can cook or you are willing to learn, it will not normally be your responsibility, but it will be great if you can help out. The most important thing is that you are careful and pay attention to detail in whatever you do and help keep our home presentable and Daniel happy :-) We will expect you to attend Danish classes. Only on rare occasions will we need you during weekends or public holidays or in the evening. You will have your own room in our house and there are many other au pairs in the area. Our current au pair is normally out with friends from Friday afternoon and comes home Sunday night and she has had two weeks off now during Christmas as both Brian and I are home from work. We are very flexible in general, but need someone who can help out and help take care of us :-)
