I've had quite a difficult time since the birth of my second child two and a half years ago which resulted in health problems, relationship problems etc but which also made me realise the importance of happiness in my life. I'm a pretty easy going person. I've always been a happy person and an uplifter of others too but I know now that I can't give everyone else what they need without neglecting my own needs to some extent and when I fall apart then everything else does too so I'm looking for someone to help support me and my two children. They are good kids and they are pretty well behaved. Not always for me but they are always great for whoever looks after them.I believe that giving love is the only way to raise good kids not through fear and I don't believe in discipline as far as punishment is concerned, instead I offer positive reinforcement with praise throughout the day and I need someone who will support that in their dealings with the children. I'm looking at getting back into Psychology and perhaps working towards my PhD net year. I'm currently writing a book so I work from home so ideally I would like the au pair to take the younger child out for a few hours before his sleep in the morning and then help with some house duties (below) until Millie needs to be picked up from school. I'm looking for someone who can look after the children 3 days per week (it would be mainly the 2.5 year old because the other one goes to school for most of the day)as well as clean up after the children, cook dinner and help with minor house duties like folding and putting away the washing (mainly kids washing, occasionally ours folded if I haven't had a chance) and whatever other things need doing on those days if I don't have time such as food shopping, unloading the dishwasher and occasionally cleaning the floor. I mostly want the au pair to spend time with Jett (the 2.5 year old) and millie after school so I don't feel guilty about doing the things that I need do. I'm not looking for a housekeeper, just someone who can give me some time back for myself and who can occasionally do evenings so that my husband and I can have some time also to reconnect and strengthen our relationship.
