Dear Au pair We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, age 8 and 6. Mom is a surgeon and dad is BI director. We need help for our busy everyday with changing workhours. We live 15 minutes on bicycle from the city center of Copenhagen and close to train stations as well. We live in a spacious house with a garden. We expect that you will be part of our family and that you are interested in learning danish and hope that you will enjoy be with us. We have had a couple of au pairs before. Our present au pair's contract runs out in January. We have a spacious room for you in the basement (16 m2). There is a separate entrance and you will also have your own bathroom. The work week is maximum 30 hours and the current allowance is 3250 DKK per month. Normally, you will have the whole weekend off. We look forward to hear from you. Best Regards Borger and Dorte
We primarily need help with all the practical stuff so we can spend as much time with the kids as possible: Tidy after breakfast, clean the house, help with the laundry and the dinner etc. We also need help with delivering the kids 1-3 times a week and picking up the kids 2-3 times per week and once in a while, we would like you to babysit in the evening. Besides the work in the morning and around dinner time - you can plan much of the work and day as you like. It is very flexible. It is important to us that you are independent and notice when things need to be tidied or cleaned and that you do these things on your own initiative. We expect you to join us for dinner everyday (except Friday-Sunday) and naturally take part in the conversation and our life. We would like you to take a Danish course in order to communicate with the kids. We are often busy, but also quite relaxed and easy to be around.
