After having been an au pair myself when I was younger, I am now happy to welcome Au Pairs within my family! It is going to be the 5th year that we have An Aupair staying with us. It has always been a great experience for my children, for myself and for the Au Pair! I am a divorced mother and I live with my 2 children: Axelle, a 7 years old girl and Antoine a 9 years old boy. Antoine and Axelle are very lively, they like to play, to laugh, to play with their friends, they like creative activities...all kind of things that happy children like to do. They like outdoor activities, they are both part of a scout group and love it! They play tennis and Axelle is going to start gym, they both like to go to the swimming pool. I am looking for a dynamic, reliable and autonomous Au Pair, who will be like a big sister for my children. Somebody who likes to have fun but can also be firm when needed. If you like children and like to spend time with them, if looking after children is not a duty but something you do enjoy, you will get along very well with Antoine and Axelle!
Your duties will be the classical au pair duties. I take the children to school in the morning and you pick them up at 12:00 on Wednesday and 4:00pm the other days. You look after them until I am back home (at 7:30pm usually): play outside if weather allows, homework, bath. Sometime you will start having dinner with them before I arrive. You won’t have to cook, just prepare easy things or warm up food that I would have prepared. On Wednesday afternoon, you take them to their activities (tennis, gym) and keep them busy. You don’t need to drive, everything is walking distance or accessible by bus. You will be free on evenings and week-ends, except from time to time baby-sitting in the evening when I go out or when I have my tape dance lesson (once a week). I would like also that you speak English to the children so that they learn. However, as they don’t speak English at all, they will for sure speak French to you so you will learn French with them! Because my children are often with their father, you will have a lot of free time. You will be free almost all the weekends and will have 3 or 4 times during the year 1 free week. So if you are looking to travelling around France or Europe, or just to enjoy Paris, you will have plenty of time to do so. You will also have enough time to take a French course if you wish.
