My husband Richard, Zachary 7, Talia 5 and of course myself Carla. Both Zachary and Talia are very happy children. They enjoy being outside in the woods, swimming, crafts and watching telly. We are mixed British/ Afro Caribbean ethnicity.
We are both working parents. My husband is in the military so has unspecified working hours. We would require our Au pair to have sole responsibility for the children during the day. I a teacher and am expected to be at work 8am - 5pm. Tuesday and Wednesday I have to work until 8pm and I also have to work Saturday morning until 12pm. During term time. As you can imagine I am acutely aware that I will not be around next year as much as I would like so therefore need to know that the children are being cared for and loved. However I do get long school holidays x2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and all the half terms. We are approximately two hours away from London and live 10minutes from the train station. Our whole family lives in London so we are regularly up and down. You would be welcome to travel up with us and possibly stay with us when we are there, depending on circumstances. I would like our Au Pair to integrate into our family and feel happy staying with us. Someone who is independent and can take good care of themselves and my children. I expect help with the housework but not like Cinderella. I would like the house to be kept presentable, clear up after yourself and children help them keep their bedroom tidy, loading dishwasher, vacuuming generally keep the main shared areas of the house clear, tidy and clean (ish) while everyone is out. You will also be expected to prepare an evening meal for the children who eat at approximately 5pm, of course some evenings this can be freezer food but I would like them to have a cooked meal at least x3s a week. You will have your own bedroom. We live in a 3 bedroom terraced house in Taunton just 10minutes walk into town. We have a large garden. Both children are in school 8.45- 3.15 Monday -Friday.
