We are in our late 30s looking for help for my wife who cares for a 3-year-old and four-month old boys during the day and another 5-year-old boy when he gets home from school. Also would prefer a Spanish speaking au pair to speak to the kids in Spanish. We are very fun-loving and outgoing, but we are also relatively strict with our children. as a last resort we will even spank if necessary though we try to never do so in anger. we also want our au pair to respect and serve the Lord as we believe he is the center of our lives and want that to be reflected in the au pair we hire. Despite the strict upbringing of our boys we still love to have fun and relax. We love to enjoy life to include travel. Husband is a military officer working at the local naval base. Husband can speak Spanish conversationally but is not fluent. Wife is currently a stay at home mother who is Puerto Rican and speaks Spanish and English fluently. Family lives in Nicolosi, a beautiful sicilian town at the base of Mt Etna. Town is very safe and home is gated with alarm though crime in area is minimal. Husband's sister lives in Valencia, Spain where she teaches English. Family is from the eastern side of the US. Family will be here for just under three years.
Au pair needs to obviously love children and become invested in their growth. Au pair needs to be unafraid to be both strict but loving. Looking for someone who is assertive but also has sense of humility . Kids will absolutely be taught to obey and respect au pair. Needs to know CPR and first aid for children as she may be alone with them. Job details are as follows: wake with children and work in or out of home until 1600. Break from 1230-1330. No texting or cell phone or other distracting electronics used when working. Au pair will be asked to help prepare breakfast and lunch and help with house chores if not tending to children. Private room away from family furnished with Queen bed and other furniture. Au pair needs to know how to drive as it may be required.
