We are a young family of Asian background with 2 children (2 yr old and a baby). We speak English at home and consider ourselves private, hardworking, warm and friendly. We live in a beautiful waterfront home, in a nice safe area on the Gold Coast, approximately 10 mins drive from Surfers Paradise which is a famous tourist destination in Australia. We are looking for an au pair who is honest, hardworking, responsible and enjoys playing with children. Someone who will fit in well as part of the family. We would be happy to provide accommodation and food. The au pair would have her own bedroom with an ensuite, TV and internet access. We also have a swimming pool. You must be eligible for and will be responsible for organizing your AUSTRALIAN VISA.
Require help for various tasks including caring for toddler and sometimes baby, light housework, food preparation and simple cooking under the supervision. To start in May 2014, prefer a minimum period of 5-6 months. Typical schedule: Half days: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 630-8am - get toddler ready for daycare (like kindergarden). Look after baby (sometimes). Light housework / kids cloths etc. 8-4 pm - Freetime 4-5pm - Food preparation 5-730pm - Feed, bath, play with toddler. Clean and tidy up. Full days: Wed and either Sat or Sun Toddler at home. Look after toddler (or baby). Food preparation. Bath, feed and put toddler to sleep. Lunch break - When Toddler sleeps (usually sleeps 11-2/3pm) Full day off: Either Sat or Sun. You will also usually get Tues AM off. However, please note the is a rough guide and you must be flexible (eg: if toddler is sick and cannot attend daycare).
