We are a 2+2 household, just returned from a 5 ys. consultancy in Cambodia, where I was working in the parliament as an advisor for a German developmental organization; the kids´ mother will come to Germany in September, after finishing her studies; she is Cambodian. Both kids went to an ENG speaking Kindergarten in Phnom Penh; there they got good ENG language skills already, which now seemingly are fading away; to protect these skills as well as making some other cultures alive for them, giving them more pedagogic attention, initiating creativity and games etc. is our interest of having an au pair. It would be an asset for both kids, to have an adult, which they have to respect but gives them valuable input too. We are not religious - just an intercultural, open minded and not very
We are looking for an intellectually, culturally educated creative person, which is independent and interested in playing with kids, showing them new games, songs, dances, how to bake, draw etc. - just making them interested and curious in watching their environment and developing their own creativity and values. The kids go to Kindergarten from 8 – 5 pm, but I´d love to reduce this by 1-2 hrs. Both are relatively independent, speaking very good German, some ENG already too. They are very active and cute, often very funny. In November they turn 4 resp. 6 ys. An au pair would have to fetch them from KiGa in the afternoons and to look after them until evening. She would be almost without responsibilities during day-time, could go for another job; during weekends we are often outside in nature or other cities, visiting friends. The au pair could of course accompany us - but this is not mandatory. So there would be lots of spare-time, perhaps to learn German.
