GERMAN SPEAKERS ONLY PLEASE! We are living in Brisbane, a buzzing city with the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast beaches in reach. We are members of several aupair related networks, to make your stay successful for all of us. New friends are basically waiting for you already. Our 3 happy children will be 10, 7 and 4 years old when you start. The older girls are going to school, our son is in day care twice a week. The girls love doing crafty things, painting, making cubbies, playing dolls. They are going to gymnastics and swimming. The little one does nothing without his cars. Also he is learning how to swim now. He is a real boy, but not too wild. They all play well together but they do fight quite a bit too. All of them speak German but this needs improvement and constant encouragement. We are healthy eaters, love proper bread (!) and don't have pets. Cruicial for us is 'peak-hour help' to get the kids out of the door in time and get them ready for dinner and bed time. You would also help our 7 year old daughter with homework in the evenings. The little one needs help with getting dressed, the middle girl needs prompting, craving for some extra attention I guess. Two days per week you might have to look after our youngest, taking him to sports once a week on a bus - he loves it. We are also asking for help in the household, someone who takes ownership of the children's area, keeping those clean and tidy and also helps with the day-to-day cleaning, as you would do at home
You need to be a happy, friendly and energetic person, eat everything and have no allergies or eating disorders. You should be clean, tidy, organised and responsible. You would speak always in a nice voice with the children but still be firm with what you have asked them to do. They do follow quite well with loving words (most of the time) and are also very affectionate. We would love some more giggles in the house as we are older parents and tend to be a little serious. We hope for someone who likes to become a family member, easygoing and likes to explore how families are living and life in general on the other site of the globe. You are free to do whatever you like in your spare time, we are also happy for you if you find another small job so that you can improve your english. We are in Carina Heights, close to a big shopping center with lots of job opportunities. However, it would be nice - if you are not out and about - that you have an interest to do some fun things with the children or the whole family.
