Hello! We are a family living in a house in the suburbs of Paris. We have 2 boys, aged 7 and 9 and a big big dog. Host mom has been living a few years in Florida, and is now travelling every now and then for her job at Air France as an IT consultant. Host dad is getting quite comfortable in English by now, but prefers to speak French! He is a project manager in a health insurance company. The 2 boys are also getting familiar with English now thanks to our 3 aupairs that we all met via Findaupair! We are looking for an au pair girl from the USA, the UK or any english speaking country that would be available as of September 1st, 2014. The au pair should like to work closely and play with children (board games to be expected!), should speak very good English, be talkative and enthusiastic.
Our new au pair will wake the children up, make sure they are dressed up, prepare them breakfast and bring them to school in the morning (at 8:30). Then she will get them back in the afternoon, watch after them until mom and/or dad comes back home. The au pair will also be in charge of bringing them to their activities during the week (judo, tennis, badminton...) just across the street! She is also in charge of the children on Wednesdays afternoon (no school) and half of the school vacation (we have way more vacation in France than in the US! about a week of vacation every 7 weeks of school. We have a cleaning lady for 8 hours a week, but still we want the au pair to participate to the daily activities the same way the host mom and host dad would (so participate to preparing dinners, do some light cleaning, make sure children's room are tidy..). The au pair would have her own comfortable bedroom. The bathroom is to be shared with the children (and also used for laundry). In compensation we offer: - 65 euros a week for pocket money - French classes in a private school dedicated to au pairs - Transportation card to access school and Paris (not during aupair vacation though) - Health insurance - aupair will get 1 week off every 6 weeks of work
