My name is Barbarah and I am an older parent with a son with special needs. We are living in a beautiful part of BC, surrounded by water and islands.Our town is small, but offers everything one need to be happy. Especially if you are an outdoors person, you will love it here. We have a nice home and a cabin on an island. Life is good and fun and relaxed. Our lifestyle holds time for socializing and leisure activities. I am looking for a mature woman, preferably European, who has experience in working with special needs. Education in this field or related education would be an asset. You will need to be able to speak english, can drive a car, capable of organizing a household, budgeting,time management. Being sensitive to my son's needs is probably the most important gift you give him.
This is a home sharing position and the wage reflects it. You will share my home with my son Zackery. I will not live there. I know, you will love this home and its great location right in town. My son needs personal care in bathing, getting dressed, sometimes help with eating. You will accompany him to his Day Program which has a work- and leisure component. You will work 5 days a week, have built in breaks during the day. My son is autistic with sensory issues. A good match with a caregiver is essential. I am a very good and generous employer. I promise you an easy job as Zackery is an easy going young man with a nice personality. If you are a good match with my son you will want to keep this job for a long time. This is a long term position. Start date does not have to be December 2011, it can be later. I help you immigrate into Canada if this is what you want.
