We have 3 boys that will be ages 9, 11, and 13. The boys are active in baseball, sailing, soccer, golf, martial arts and swimming. As a family we usually enjoy boating, attending sporting events, visiting parks, visiting amusement parks, and attending local festivals. We live in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida which has a very active art community, nearby beaches, and vibrant nightlife. Our city has amazing weather all year long and can be quite hot in the summer, but we live on the water and enjoy boating.
Your confidence in your driving abilities is very important as your duties will include driving to pick up the boys from school and transporting them to after school activities like baseball practice or reading tutor. This may include driving on both the Interstate Highway and busy city streets. You sometimes might have to plan an activity at a nearby park in between activities. Swimming is also important as we go boating and swimming regularly. If you like to sleep late, this is the family for you! Your hours are generally all after school (starting at 2:30pm) and on Saturday afternoon/evening. Both parents work full time and are engaged in community organizations that often require us to attend meetings and events in the evening and will need child care assistance during those times and a lot of help getting the boys to and from their various activities. We’re an experienced host family that has hosted AMAZING Au Pairs and some that weren’t so great for our family. We’re hoping to find someone very flexible, easy going, respectful and open to new ideas and challenges. We’d love to find someone independent and eager to follow instructions and maybe take some initiative when a problem presents. These boys are full of fun surprises!
