We are a lovely and active family of 4 with 7year old twin boys. We live in Clapham; a really nice, lively but also very residential area in London in-between two big parks and lots of nice restaurants, etc around. We would like host a committed aupair starting in September and staying at least until the school year ends around mid July, preferably longer. We have always had nannies working more than 2yr+ with us. Languages other than English are a plus. Our house is a 3-storey and the spacious au-pair room is at the top floor. The bathroom will be shared only if we have guests staying on that floor in the guest room. We live at walking distance to Clapham South tube station in London in Zone 2. This station is on the Northern Line with very easy and quick access to all London attractions. We live in a gated cul-de-sac so quite a safe/family area in a 5-bedroom house. We have 7-year old twin boys who will be starting Class 3 in September. They have breakfast in the morning and dropped off to the school bus which is 10mins walking distance. They are then picked up between 15:30-16:45 depending on the day - either by car or by bus (10mins driving, 25mins walking distance). They have bath and supper, then go to bed around 8pm. Some days they have classes outside school and playdates. My husband and I are both financiers so our jobs involve travelling and dinners quite often.
Tasks are as follows: in the morning giving them breakfast and doing the school run (7am-8:20am), afternoon school run, giving them dinner, bathing, playing with the kids, taking them to extracurricular activities such as classes, clubs and playdates (3pm-as long as 8pm, if required), also babysitting in the required days. Also the following activities - only if they are related to kids: tidying up, putting the dishes into the dishwasher, getting their school uniform and PE kit ready for Mondays. Cooking may only be required infrequently. We may also discuss going on holidays together. We care a lot about hygiene so no shoes in the house. Due to our jobs we expect some flexibility around times when needed. We offer a peaceful and fast-paced home in a beautiful part of London in a recently renovated, nice house - also privacy as the room is on the top floor.
