My name is Mona and my husbands name is Sherif we have been very happily married for over 11 years now. We have two boys, Amir (age 7.5 year 3 at school) and Yousef (age 6 in year 1 at school). Amir is a kind hearted sensitive and serious young boy. He is obsessed with football and any sport really. He is very out doors kind of child but also loves being at home, playing with his cars and football cards. He is extremely kind hearted and a hard worker with his studies and sports. Yousef is a little charmer! do not fall for it he will use his cheeky smile to get anything he wants. Although Yousef also loves sports he also loves cooking, painting and science experiments which can be quite messy at times. The boys love each other immensely and are best friends but they are also very competitive and active they can fall out with each other especially over sports (typical boys). So it is important that the aupair is able to confidently encourage them sort out their disputes if and when they arise. They know what is right and wrong and are generally good but have their moments like all children. The boys have a good routine. During term time they are up at 7 out of the house by 8:10 am. School finishes at 4 pm and we are usually home by 4:10 if there are no after school activities. Then dinner, homework , play time and bath and bed by 7/7:30pm. They do have a lot of after school activities Wednesday is swimming after school, Thursday chess and tennis for Amir (Yousef at home), Friday football, Saturday Language school, Sunday tennis. I am looking for an au pair who is extremely confident with two boys. My boys are typical sporty boys and very active so it’s essential you are confident in keeping boys active and busy. Majority of the duties will be topping and tailing school hours. So breakfast in the morning and helping them get ready, after school preparing their dinner, entertaining them and following the routine such as bath bed etc. Help will also be needed in preparing all their sports bags as they have many sports. Household duties such as cleaning washing and ironing boys clothes. Tidying their room etc. Basically everything to do with the kids is over to you. I do have a regular cleaner that comes 2/3 times a week for the main house clean so you will not be expected to do that. However, simple loading and unloading dishwasher and keeping kitchen etc tidy after you and the boys is essential. Usual hours will be 7-9 am and 4-7 pm other hours you can use during the day at any time to keep up with children's laundry etc. Or if we need evening baby-sitting. Occasionally additional hours may be needed and these will be paid hourly at £3.50 an hour. You will have your own room that has just finished being fully redecorated. It is not very large but has a double bed, double wardrobes, chest of draws, TV and is very beautiful. You will have full access to WiFi. Your bathroom is right next door to your room and is only shared by the boys. The bathroom has also just been fully renovated and is beautiful. In summary our household is a very happy, friendly, loud, busy but easy going household. We are very tidy and work very hard and whoever we take on as an au pair will be treated as a member of the family. This is a non-smoking and no alcohol family, so we ask that au pair does not smoke or drink alcohol in the house. No pork or bacon or ham in the house either. We are very family orientated family and lead simple but busy lives and just need an extra pair of hands to help out. I am always around 99% of the time if you need me. We have had au-pairs before and they have always been very happy and do come back to visit often.
