We live in a small town just outside of Calgary where you can find everything you need in town and be only 40 minutes from the mountains and from down town Calgary! We have three children, a girl (5) and two boys (3 and under 1) a dog (Bow) and a cat (Moose)! We moved to Canada from the UK nearly 9 years ago so we have experienced moving across the world and know some of the great experiences you will go through!! We have a busy lifestyle, we spend our time in the mountains hiking, camping or snowboarding and we love to hang out with friends and their children. Our daughter started Kindergarten in September 2017 and our son is in preschool two mornings a week. Both of them are involved in lots of other activities dependant on the time of year (ski lessons, swim lessons, gymnastics). And our youngest son will likely start some activities in the fall. We are looking for someone to commit to a one year term with us to ensure there is consistency for our children.
You will have you're own suite with bedroom, bathroom and living area, you will also have access to a vehicle to run the kids around through the week and so your own thing on a weekend (if you choose). You will be responsible for walking our daughter to and from school as well as driving our son to preschool twice a week. We would expect you to do food prep and genernal cleaning related to the children and your space. We work in Calgary and as such your hours would typically be from 7/8am to 4/5pm dependant on traffic :-). We do not expect our au pair to work weekends or evenings except on very rare occasions. You would be our second au pair and we really enjoyed having someone with new experiences join our family, she joined us on our family trips and ate with us most evenings, however you also have the ability to use the vehicle to go out or be in your own space!
