Dear Au pair. Thank-you for reading about us. We are looking for a caring and responsible Spanish speaking person to help us with our sons Jesse, who was (born March 2015) and Marlon (July 2017). We live in Bath, which is a beautiful, hilly city in the south west of England. We live near the top of a big hill, about a 20 minute walk down into the city and have a wonderful view. The city has several language schools, a popular university and lots of visitors due to its architecture and spa. It is a lovely and safe place to be and there should be something for you to enjoy - hills, shopping, nature etc. It is easy to travel to elsewhere in the country, including London which is less than one hour thirty minutes by train. We moved here in the summer from London where we have lived since we went to university. Lawrie's family live in Bath and the boys' grandparents (Jinx and Nick) live very near by. Jinx and Nick live and work at their house looking after chicken and sheep and making cakes for a local market. They cannot look after the boys all the time but are always on hand to offer support and a big garden for the boys to explore. We are both doctors and have careers that are important to us. Lawrie works as a family doctor. I am also a family doctor but currently do not see patients; I work as an editor/writer at the British Medical Journal. We have had three au pairs and enjoyed good relationships with each of them and would hope to with you also. We would like an au pair to help drop and collect Jesse from nursery Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. While Jesse is at nursery we would like you to look after Marlon. We would like you to do a mixture of playing at the house and taking him out eg to baby groups or the park or to meet friends. We would like you to help in general meal preparation for the children and tidying up the toys at the end of the day. We would like you to speak Spanish to the boys. We are happy to speak English with you and have found this works well at meal times such as breakfast and dinner.
