Our family consist of 5 people, myself, my husband Charles, our children Rene who is 8 and Florence who is 2 and my father who also lives with us. We also have a cat called Nut. We live in a town called Bournemouth at the south of England. We live in a house with a garden about 10 minutes from the sea by walk. Bourneomouth is a medium sized town but it has plenty to offer ( shopping, cinema, theatre and so on). Bournemouth is a university town and after London has the largest amount of international language school. There are lots of young people from all around the world. We live on the beautiful Jurassic coast, next to lovely New Forest and the sea just around the corner. We are about 2 hrs away from London, Brighton, Bath and other big cities so there is plenty to visit as well. The train and coach connection to those cities us excellent. Charles and I are working full time. Charles is a solicitor and I work for a charity. Rene attends a school 5 minutes away from our house. We are very outdoorsy. We love walks and we swim in the sea all year round. We are out and about every weekend enjoying the fresh air. In the winter we love sitting by the fire, reading, playing games with the kids or watching movies. We are a very busy family but relaxed and fun loving.
Up until now, I have been at home taking care of Florence but I am due to return to work in October and we are looking for a loving person to help us to look after Florence and Rene. Your day will start with getting both kids ready in the morning ( dressing and breakfast) and taking Rene to school ( by walk, no driving will be required). Rene starts school at 8.50 am. He is quite independent and usually just needs a bit of prompting to get dressed and to brush his teething in the morning. Rene is a very lovely boy. He is very grown up for his age and very well mannered. He is polite and listens. He is a pleasure to be around. He loves swimming, he learns to play the piano and enjoys normal things that a 8 years old boys do. He's full of life and curiosity. Florence is almost two and is also a mellow and relaxed child. She is usually quite a happy child. She loves exploring, dancing and playing. Rene finishes school at 3.05 and you will need to collect him from school and look after the kids until one of us returns from work. Depending on a day of the week, we are home between 3.30-5.30 pm. We do appreciate help with tidying of the house, but we will not treat you like a cleaner. Cooking will not be required unless you want to cook. We have had 2 au pairs before. We are very flexible and relaxed family. We will respect your privacy and your own space. We will try to show you the part of our country where we live and help you to do what you strive to do whilst staying with us. We wish for you to be part of our family and we will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. Both, Charles and I were au pairs when we were younger so we understand what it's like to be an au pair. We are looking for someone honest and reliable, someone with common sense and someone who will be fair, open minded and loving towards our kids.
