Host parents: Frank and Charlotte Girls: Evie (10) and Nell (7) Charlotte works in London and Frank's work is split between London and home. The aupair helps the girls get ready for school (breakfast and tidying away breakfast, bathroom, dressed, quick room tidy and walk to school - across the road!) this takes about an hour. The aupair then goes to the horse yard and turns out 3 ponies (one is on livery), fills water and 'Skips out' their boxes, this takes no more than 40 minutes all together. Then, apart from keeping on top of the girl's washing and ironing, the rest of the day is free until school pick up. Most days the girls get back from school, have a snack and then need taking to the ponies. The aupair should be confident around ponies and be able to tack them up and ready them, maybe even jump them! Some days the girls have lessons and others they just go for a hack around the farm. The ponies then need to be fed and put to bed. The girls come home and have dinner and do their home work. The aupair will also be expected to play with them and get them ready for bed.
Dear Au Pair We are looking for a fun, versatile person who will fit in with our family and active lifestyle. Our two daughters have four ponies between them and you'll be expected to help when they ride. Knowledge of horses is compulsory. If you don't like horses and being outdoors in the country a lot, then we're not the family for you! Family Description I am Charlotte, I work in London for a global company, my partner, Frank, has an equestrian on-line business. We have two daughters, Evie (10) and Nell (7). Evie and Nell love to ride their ponies, swim and love to play. Evie is an avid reader and Nell loves dressing up and dancing. We also have two black Labrador dogs called Poppy (8) and Cookie (7 months) and a black fluff-ball of a cat called Murphy so you would have to be pet friendly if you came to live with us! We live in Woking which is a small town about 25 miles from London. There is an excellent rail link with London and we have the city of Guildford only a 20 min drive away. Woking shopping centre and train station are 20 mins walk, 10 mins by bus away. Nearby we have a swimming pool and leisure centre, tennis courts, park and cinema. There is also a college running language courses. What we expect We're looking for a fun, active, friendly au pair who is also comfortable around horses. The split of your week would be 30% horses, 70% looking after the girls. The au pair commits to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (including babysitting), thereby assisting the family with the daily household chores. Such duties include: Getting the children ready for school, dropping children at and picking them up from school. Taking them to activities such as swimming and pony riding. Playing with them. Tidying their rooms and bathroom. Helping them with reading, writing and homework. Helping cook food. Washing and ironing kids clothes. Sometimes dog walking. Doing art/ creative activities. Babysitting (evenings or at horse yard whilst I ride – must be confident to be left in sole charge), Helping the kids ride their ponies. Generally being part of the family. Opportunity to ride Charlotte’s horse and some or all ponies. Will be required to drive family car. If you think we're the right family for you, we'd love to hear from you!!
