- 2 GIRLS AGED 13 AND 9. There are 4 of us living in a big detached house close to the centre of Bristol. We have a cat. There is myself and my husband and my daughters aged 9 and 13. They are generally well behaved and polite. They like swimming, craft, sewing, cooking, art, movies, reading. As a family we like visiting places like gardens, historic houses as well as theme parks and the seaside. We are quite close to the coast here. We live in a quiet green suburb near the centre of Bristol. We have a large garden and it's very pretty here as we live next to a nature reserve with lot of wildlife. There is lots to do here and we know quite a few au pairs locally, who look after my daughter's friends (we can introduce you). . You would have your own room, and share a bathroom with just the 9 year-old only. In the evenings you can have the Den to watch TV and relax, or you are free to go out, after we have arrived home. Obviously we have WiFi for you to use. We have had au pairs for 3 years who you can chat to on skype or email.
- WEEKDAYS ONLY, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL - SCHOOL HOLIDAYS OFF - MUST DRIVE, CAR PROVIDED - LIVE-IN POSITION, OWN ROOM AND BATHROOM SHARED WITH ONLY 9 YEAR OLD. We want you to be responsible, well organised and tidy. Non smoking. We want someone who is friendly and fun, but firm.You would supervise breakfast from 7.30am and take the girls to school. You will be free between 9am and 3.15pm (sometimes 4.15) to study or work or attend a language course. You'll need to pick them up from school at 3.15 and take them to some after-school activities locally. My husband or I would generally be home by about 6pm. You must be able to drive and be confident about driving the girls around locally in the suburbs. By arrangement you can also use the car during the day to go to language classes and so on. I am happy to arrange an initial driving lesson with an instructor to get used to the left side of the road, and then you can practise in our car. You can borrow a bike whenever you need one. You'll need to help with some meals and do light household jobs. You can earn extra money with babysitting locally (I have some friends who need evening babysitters). Your weekends will be free to travel or relax. Holidays during school holiday dates only but you'll get lots of time off - I will be able to confirm dates in advance but these are set. Please contact me for further details. (Some families will ask you to work all day during the school holidays .. we won't! As I'm a teacher)
