We are looking for a responsible and mature au pair to look after our two young daughters. In your role, you will be looking after our 9 month-old full time and 4 year old for 5 days per fortnight (with a potential increase to full time). We are a young married couple who live in the Brisbane area (40 min. drive from the CBD) and who both work full time jobs. We are looking for someone with experience caring for babies and experience caring for children with mild medical conditions (e.g. asthma). Please let us know if you have a first aid certificate and a current working with children blue card / police check. You should also have a valid working visa (or be eligible to apply) or the right to work in Australia. If you speak a language other than English, we would love for you to share this with the children.
Your main duties in the role will include: Getting the children ready for the day, Driving our 4 year old to day care 5 days per fortnight and picking her up again, Looking after our 9 month old baby during the day while we are at work (playing with her, feeding her, bathing her if she gets messy, taking her to the park or shops or on play-dates with other au pair families etc.), Doing some light housework for the children (e.g. cleaning up dishes and wiping down table / chairs after meals, making the children's beds, tidying up or helping them to tidy their rooms, washing their clothes etc.). You will work Monday to Friday every week, for approx. 10 hours per day (6:30am to 4:30pm). You may also need to look after our 4 year old full time at some stage - to be decided. --- For the successful au pair, you will receive: Free furnished room and board, Approx. $300.00 AU pocket money per week, Free use of the internet, All bills paid for, An Australian sim card with work-related usage paid for, Use of the family car during the day, Every weekend off (you will also have weeknights after 4:30pm free), Paid holidays (the length of your holidays will be determined by the length of your contract), A $300.00 bonus if you complete the full six-month contract.
