Hi! We (Neil and Ronnie) are looking for our first Au Pair for our 2 delightful children, Beatrice (aged 4) and Daniel (aged 2). We are looking for an enthusiatic au pair with a decent amount of childcare experience. About Us: We are a close family and enjoy spending quality time together. Both Mum (35) and Dad (38) Work full time as doctors so are generally very busy. Our children are beautifully mixed race as Neil is ethnically Chinese and Ronnie English. Beatrice is a highly intelligent and curious little girl. She will be attending Primary School from Sept '17. Daniel is an energetic little boy and also very smart . We enjoy taking family day trips to the museum, the beach and walking. We are a fit and active family and make sure we eat healthy food but can treat the children to the occasional McDonalds too! We have a docile greyhound called Denver, he is great with people, does not bark and no trouble at all. Where we live: We live near the centre of Cardiff in a very wealthy and safe area (Pontcanna). We a lucky enough to live next to the largest park in Cardiff, Bute park. Cardiff city centre is a 20 minute walk or easily reached by bus. Cardiff is a wonderful cosmopolitan city with residents from a huge number of different nationalities. As a city, we voted firmly to remain in the EU. Cardiff was voted the best place for young people to live in the UK due to relatively cheap cost of living and good job opportunities. There is excellent shopping and easy access to the countryside within 20 minutes. Pontcanna is listed as one of the 'coolest' places to live in the
The Au Pair will take Beatrice to and from school and stay with her until about 6.30pm each day for 4 days (4 hours per day) Daniel will need childcare one day and taking him to/from nursery for the remaining 3 days (one day grandmother will look after them). Either Mum or Dad (usually both) will always be with them at the weekend. Care for the children includes preparing food, getting them dressed and helping with the toilet as well as bathtime on the odd occasion. The children's grandmother (Una) lives nearby in Newport and looks after them for 1 day. Some light housework will be required. Some babysitting would be required in the evenings (usually very easy as they have a good bedtime routine), perhaps 2 evenings per week. Occasional dog walking may be required if you like dogs! As an Au Pair, you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the city and beautiful surrounding countryside at the weekend. We look forward to welcoming you to our happy life!
