We want to welcome someone wonderful to join us for the next year to help care for our wonderful little twins. A boy and a girl! We hope you would be warm, creative and enthusiastic with children, want to teach them things, sing and dance with them. Laugh lots with them!!It would be ideal if you have some experience of working with toddlers before! They are an interesting species! We would love you to have a fun and active, outgoing nature with a good sense of humour, we love to joke around and take the lighter side of life. We will have a beautiful garden and lots of beautiful parks around so hope you would like playing outdoors (when it’s not raining!) with the twins but you cannot be scared of wrapping up and getting outside when its a bit cold. Getting them nice inspired to experience the world outside!! This in a year they are learning to speak and love to hear books read aloud (do you know Dr Suss...you will soon!!!) so enjoying reading is a must! Also be willing to create activities for them to keep them occupied. They love to ride their bikes and scooter, so you also need to be a quick thinker to control two toddlers going in different directions!!! We would like you to be flexible, hard working, tidy and organised. You have to be organised to look after two toddlers.Oh and energy you need heaps of it!
ou will take care of our twins; 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday initially. In September 2017 they have a place in a local preschool in the mornings 9-12 initially then 9-2.45 once they have been there a few terms. The preschool is term time only so in school holidays you will be with them full-time 8.30am-5.30pm. When the twins are at preschool we would ask for an evening babysitting to be included in the pocket money as the hours during the day are much less. They might be in nursery in the next few months for two mornings a week but this is not quite set up yet. Sometimes we will ask for evening babysitting as extra, for additional pay (only when you are happy to do so) We would also like you to be part of our family life, help put the twins clothes away, empty the dish-washer and prepare them their food. We have a cleaner that comes once a week to do the bulk of the cleaning. Our twins are in a good routine, they are up 7am every day. Have a nap at 1pm (for 1.5 hrs) then bath and bed at 7pm and they sleep right through! We would need you to take them to a play group (there are plenty around where we live), visit a farm, play in the park in the morning, bring them home for lunch which you will prepare and put them for their afternoon nap. After their nap organise some constructive play with them, teach them things until we come home. As they are nearing 3 years old im not sure for how much longer they will nap but they still feel happy to sleep, so at least a few more months it seems. But be prepared for a change, perhaps that will coincide with them being at preschool for longers days. Pocket money will be £150/week. We will provide you with your own room, all your food, local travel and a phone contract. We would like someone with energy to run around with our two toddlers and have the drive to teach them things. It is a very special year in their life. A year they will learn to talk and potty training too so be ready for that too!! Their language is a little behind their peers as they are bilingual, they are really learning quickly now, every day a new work. They adore their current au pair so also be prepared to be loved and hugged and be a role model for two active 2.5 year olds :-)
