We are a small family; just myself Cecilia and my daughter Sonia. Sonia turns 3 years in February and is a very energetic, fun and cute little girl. Of course :-). But she also has a lot of temper and she is in the age where she is testing limits and mom's patience. We are looking for an au-pair with lots of heart, caring, patient and responsible. But also an au-pair that wants to play and activate a girl like Sonia. We live in the city center of Stockholm, in a fairly small, functional and nice apartment. Our au-pair would however not stay with us, but will have a small apartment on her own. Also in the center of Stockholm. Sonia is at daycare Monday to Friday from approximately 8.30 to 15.30. I work with my own company; an advertising agency. Sonia is being picked up from daycare, we go to the park and play or go home to play for a while. Then there is dinner, bath and eventually nap-time.
The main responsibility for our au-pair is to take care of Sonia. That is always the most important. Typically the au-pair would pick Sonia up from day care and take care of her until I get home from work around 6 or 7pm. That would include to cook for her, play and bath. Some light house work would be included; vacuuming, cleaning, some ironing. Maybe occasionally some light grocery shopping if something is missing in the house. The house work could be done in the morning or the hours before picking Sonia up at day care. On occasion if there is something I need to do in the morning, the au-pair would leave her at day-care in the morning. But not regularly. Also, some baby sitting in the evenings - 1-2 evenings per week. As mentioned, the au-pair would have its own place; a 30m2 apartment with kitchen, bathroom and a combined bedroom and living room. Very nice. It is located in "Kungsholmen" in the center of Stockholm - close to everything. It would be either a 15-20 min walk to our place or subway or bus. Or easily by bike. I think an au-pair would really like it with us - we are a caring family.
