Presentación personal
My name is Ioana, and I’m excited about the opportunity to support a family as a live-in caregiver. I want to experience living in a new place while working with a family accustomed with the local culture. I have several years of experience working with children in educational, therapeutic, and recreational settings, and I genuinely love helping them learn, grow, and have fun.
I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Cognitive Science. During and after college, I worked in a variety of roles that strengthened both my teaching and caregiving skills:
• Martial Arts Instructor: Taught children ages 5-12, helping them build focus, confidence, and respect in a fun and structured way.
• University of Washington Autism Center Intern: Gained hands-on experience supporting children on the spectrum and learning about early intervention strategies.
• Summer Camp Counselor: Led games, crafts, and outdoor activities that encouraged creativity and teamwork.
• Babysitter: Cared for children of all ages throughout college, balancing schoolwork with dependable, engaging childcare.
• Certified Behavior Technician (ABA): Currently work providing behavioral therapy for children with autism both in-clinic and in-home.
These experiences have made me patient, reliable, and adaptable with kids of all personalities and needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, watching tv, and spending time with friends. I would love the chance to get to know your family and be a supportive, responsible presence in your home.
Warmly,
Ioana
