Dear Host Family, My name is Resti Enjelina, but you can simply call me Resti. I am 23 years old and originally from Indonesia. I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming an Au Pair in your family. I hold a Diploma in Aquaculture from Politeknik Negeri Lampung, and I graduated two years ago. Since completing my studies, I have been exploring opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Becoming an Au Pair is a dream for me, as it allows me to combine my love for children with my desire to experience new cultures and become part of a family abroad. I have two years of hands-on experience taking care of two wonderful children—a girl aged 5 and a boy aged 4. My responsibilities included preparing meals, assisting with hygiene routines, playing with them, helping with learning activities, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day. This experience taught me patience, creativity, and how to handle different situations calmly and responsibly. I truly enjoy spending time with children, and it brings me joy to watch them grow and learn. Outside of childcare, I have a passion for cooking. I especially enjoy making traditional Indonesian dishes, particularly from my Batak heritage, and I would be delighted to share this part of my culture with your family. I am also eager to learn new recipes and traditions from your country. As a Christian, I hold strong personal values such as honesty, kindness, and respect. I always strive to be reliable, open-minded, and responsible in everything I do. I believe these qualities are important in building a trusting and positive relationship with both the children and the host family. Becoming an Au Pair is more than just a cultural exchange for me—it is a meaningful opportunity to grow, to care for children with love and dedication, and to be part of a new family.
