Your Future Au Pair Big Sister with Childcare Experience Dear host family, My name is Della, and I am 23 years old. For me, being an Au Pair is a beautiful mutual exchange. I can learn new cultures, languages, and experiences, while also supporting your family as a caring big sister for your children. I believe this journey is not only helpful for you but also meaningful for both of us, filled with daily moments, laughter, and cultural sharing. To give you a better idea of how I could support your family and what I can bring into our daily life together, here are some of my skills and experiences: MY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ✨ Communicate fluently in English, basic skills of French, German, and Japanese. ✨ Have childcare experience with my younger sisters (11 and 8 years old) and currently with my cousin’s 3-year-old son. ✨ Have experience as a volunteer teaching in an elementary school, also as a volunteer member in social events. ✨ I can ride a bicycle and drive a scooter/motorbike. ✨ Enjoy cooking simple meals, keeping the house tidy, and organizing children’s spaces. ✨ Love dancing, singing, and playing creative games. ✨ Play sports, golf, badminton, and volleyball. ✨ I am patient, calm, and affectionate with children. ✨ I do not smoke, do not drink, and I am not a picky eater (though I cannot eat pork). WHAT I CAN OFFER AS YOUR AU PAIR As part of your family, I would be happy to: ✨ Care for your children with patience and love. ✨ Help with daily routines (morning prep, meals, school). ✨ Organize fun and educational activities. ✨ Prepare light meals. ✨ Accompany the children to school or activities. I naturally wake up early in the morning as part of my daily routine, which also makes it easy for me to support your children in getting ready for school and starting the day. MY EXPERIENCE WITH KIDS Having two younger sisters has given me natural experience in caring for children. I often help them with school routines, prepare simple meals, play games, and assist with their homework. More recently, I have also been taking care of my cousin’s 3-year-old son in my free time, helping him with meals, playing together, and looking after him when his mother is busy. In addition, I once volunteered as a teacher in an elementary school program where I taught children about waste management in a fun and interactive way. MY MOTIVATION Since I have just finished my studies, I see this as the perfect time to experience being an Au Pair. For me, this program is not only about cultural exchange but also about creating authentic experiences by living with a local family. I believe living in a new environment helps us reflect deeply on life and grow as individuals. I am sure this program will be a meaningful, fun, and valuable journey for me.
